Milton Keynes Plugged–in Places Scheme has delivered a number of electric vehicle charging points in Central Milton Keynes and the scheme has recently delivered a number of new charging points in wider Buckinghamshire including Great Missenden, Amersham and High Wycombe. The Milton Keynes Plugged–in Places scheme is one of eight national pilot projects set up to explore and inform the wider roll out of infrastructure for electric vehicles as they become mainstream in the UK. It is estimated that there will be 10,000 charging points in the UK by 2013. Whilst it’s a fast moving area of technology electric vehicles are a reality and bring many benefits including low emissions. In order to gain access to the charging points in Bucks and MK users must pre-register to become a member of the scheme.
